Back in the day, Shakespeare said “All the world’s a stage”; which basically translates to we all play our roles in life, much like actors do in a theatre.
We’re taking this a level up and declaring that ‘All the world’s a circus” - with us clowns acting out with our quirks and temperaments, adults throwing tantrums like little children, people playing all sorts of ego games and walking around dumping their anger onto everyone else.
If aliens were to ever secretly watch us, they would all be very entertained. What they wouldn’t be able to guess is that all of this human drama is just a sign of a lack of emotional intelligence.
Honest to god, if we were educated on emotional awareness early on, we wouldn’t have half the problems we deal with. Stress and conflict wouldn’t dominate our lives and mental health certainly wouldn’t be up on the rise as it is now.
